Facebook

I'm posting again for the sake of posting and I'm trying to get myself into a little routine of keeping up with my new fascination of 'blogging'. My husband thinks I'm being a goob but I do have a topic of interest today...Facebook.

I'll admit, I'm a fan. I think it's a great way for people to keep in touch and to reunite with old friends or coworkers or whatever. With that being said, what gets me is how trivial it is when it comes to accepting a friend request from 'your friend's cousin's boyfriend's friend' who you met once in 1997 at a highschool football game who somehow happened to find you on FB and now wants to be your friend. Seriously? So do you accept the friend request or ignore it. But then it just really boils down to who has the most friends so of course you accept it. Why not? Aren't we cooler with 253 friends versus 252? I know I am. I'm planning to join the Facebook group, "Why are we friends on Facebook when I don't know you in real life?". I think that group speaks volumes to me.

Introductions

Hello! To anyone reading this, it's taken me literally months to make my mind up on what to name this blog site and what url address to use..and I finally decided on something I'll probably change anyway. I figured at this rate, my first blog would be posted by year 2011 so now I'm throwing caution to the wind and we'll see where it takes us.

To answer your question, "who is this person writing the most amazing blog I've ever read?" A little about me...

1.) I think The Office is one of the funniest television shows EVER. And if you like their sense of humor, you'll get mine. I'm sarcastic and use dry humor on a semi-regular basis. There. You've been warned. Sure, I know you're curious as to why in the world I would start describing myself by referencing a TV show, but if you had just seen the last episode I saw, you'd have to talk about it too.

2.) I'm a horrible speller and have a fairly limited vocabulary. If you're wanting to read a blog with fancy words..you are definitely at the wrong site. I like words like 'fun', 'cool', etc..anything beyond that, is straight from the thesaurus (which I totally just googled how to spell...).

3.) I like to secretly think I could be one of the best spies in the world. I imagine I'd be like Jason Bourne - but the female version. And minus the assassin part. I'd be able to walk into a room and know the license plate numbers to the six cars outside, know the altitude and distance to the nearest town and be able to fight off any punk that got in my way. And speaking of Jason Bourne, I've watched the Bourne Identity at least 10 times and it's always the movie I suggest to watch again. Probably so I can secretly work on my skills.

4.) Speaking of skills, these are a few that I LACK: I cannot sing (not that you care). I'm not going to lie though, I'm horrible. And my nunchuck skills are seriously pathetic. Little shout out to Napoleon. I can't believe I really just said that. I'll probably delete this whole entire #4 in a few weeks or so.

5.) I am one of those "organized, detail-oriented" types. But not to the extreme where everything is tabbed and color-coordinated and has to be filed away just so. That's a little over the top.

6.) I've been married to my hubby Matt for almost five years. We have one of the greatest gifts God has ever given - our daughter, Kathryn. As of today, she's almost 15 months old. She is the delight of my life.

Ok, I just did a "preview" of this and it's looking rather long so enough about me for now. I'm sure you'll get to know me over time. Feel free to comment any time. Happy
Reading!
